The Studio has been imagined as a private salon, like a collector’s salon.
Charles Zana presents its creations (sofa “Alexandra”, Cornouaille armchairs, low table, bookcase, Cogolin carpet from the Variamen collection, luminaire, large mirror…).
On this occasion, he exhibits a big bookcase with some ceramics from Sottsass’ exhibition, which was also showcased during the Venice Biennale.
The drillings on the façade refer to Scarpa, the bicoloured graphic composition of the walls structures the space in a “classic contemporary” spirit.
The floor coated with parquet made of large rough pine slats (DINESEN), contrasts with the sophistication of the pieces presented.
The coloured atmosphere is warm, from the big velvet mahogany sofa (Pierre Frey’s fabrics “Teddy Bear”) to the blackened pine and walnut bookcase, detached from green “sage” walls underlined with “soot” black.
