Philippe Rapin created his first gallery in 1978, specializing in ceramics. In the 80s, he moved to the Louvre des Antiquaires then rue du Bac in Paris, before settling in Quai Voltaire for many years.
In the early 2000s, he created his gallery in Brussels, 146 Avenue Louise, based on the theme of Italian design.Then, he went to London in 2008 where he opened a gallery in Pimlico Road while creating Kam Tin, the mark of the « meubles bijoux ».
In 2012, he re-opens the 88 Gallery-Paris, Quai Voltaire.
In 2013, he develops its activity in Asia and fund the 88 Gallery-Hong Kong.
Today,he focuses these brands under one label, House Rapin.
